What You Will Do
Our counselors are the backbone of the camp. We ask you to do a lot but it is worthwhile. You will supervise the kids, help them during stations and assist with the horses, if you are able. We ask that you participate in camp activities and attend the various out camps. Summer Camp 2013 runs from June 18th to July 26th. Camp is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 to 1. Counselors are expected to arrive by 7:30 and leave after 2. Counselors are required to attend one training session about a week before camp. The ride staff will have a separate training session.

Why You Should Apply
Camp is a rewarding experience after we have had several counselors return. You will have a unique summer experience. Finally, you will also receive valuable work experience for that all-important resume.

What You Receive
Camp DKR does not pay its counselors or staff. This is a volunteer-run operation but the job is not without the perks. All of our counselors receive a free t-shirt and meals. Also, the executive committee hosts a counselor appreciation night. Finally, it's an unforgettable summer experience.
